Box Scores positions

Post by Sparticus » Thu Feb 26, 2015 6:07 am

I was just wondering after looking at the box scores that it would be great if the report showed the positions after the players name in the lineup portion of the box score.

This has definitely been brought up before. Here is one such thread on the topic which will provide more info.

Thanks for the link - it helps to know the reasoning. A broader question based on that, though - has there ever been any thought given to dividing the product, or at least allowing it to be customized, so that there could be, for example, a box score format without positions that meets Little League standards, and another version including positions that matches the MLB standard? It'd be nice to be able to score an MLB game and get results that match what MLB typically uses. Thanks in advance for any light that anyone can shed on this.
