Scorecard display options?

Next in a series of requests - or at least questions - from someone making the transition from paper scorecards...

iScore seems to have many advantages over a paper scorecard. One advantage the paper scorecard seems to have over iScore, at least for now, is that the paper version allows you to see all the information on a single page, or at most two.

With that in mind, would you be willing to consider either or both of these possibilities?

-- A single scorecard, rather than (or in addition to) separate scorecards for the two teams, so that the user could scroll or swipe from one team's scorecard to the other, rather than having to close one and open the other to find out, for example, who the opposing pitchers were in a particular inning.

-- Perhaps harder or less practical - giving the user some ability to customize how scorecards display information, so that, for example, the user could decide to show opposing pitchers directly below the team's batting, again to answer the question noted above - who was pitching in each at bat?

As before, thanks for considering these suggestions - I'll be interested to hear what might be possible and what isn't.

If you are using an IPad, and view the scorecard right on the main scoring screen, then double tapping the scorecard will switch between home and visitor team. Other devices do not have that same option, so you have to view the scorecard under the menu option to do that.

If you are talking about when a game is over, you may be better off viewing the pitch by pitch as it shows both who the batter and pitcher are for every single pitch.

We will keep your suggestions in mind as we continue to enhance iScore.

Sorry, I should have been clearer - I was talking about reviewing the game afterward. I take your point about reviewing the pitch-by-pitch but it sort of makes my point, too - I understand the information I'm looking for exists elsewhere in the program, but it'd be a bit more elegant if tit was possible to read it in the scorecard, rather than having to close out of it to read the pitch-by-pitch.

The best scorecards do a good job of presenting a lot of information in a compact space, and it'd be nice if the iScore scorecard screen did that, too. Of course, I have to remind myself that I'm probably in the minority, since I'd be looking to iScore to score major league games, not youth league games. That's not a world I know as well, but I'm guessing that the need to look at pitcher-batter matchups may not be as great there as the need to have a separate and distinct team scorecard. So it may be that what I'm looking for doesn't fit the use case for most users.

Re: checking the scorecard during the game - I am in fact using the iPad and didn't know about the option of double-tapping to switch from one to the other. That's nice, and I'll take advantage of it. So thanks for that... and thanks for considering these other requests. Most appreciated.

Their are some transitions associated with leaving the 11x17 world of good paper scorebooks..

But I have found the iscore 'boom' about as robust as any in formation presented.. Though I agree it lacks opposing pitcher on same page as batters...

As I have converted, I find the PDF book awesome to recap the game but spend more time with the stats tables easily accessed and printed by email, to tell me "the rest of the story"

But i agree when first converted, I missed opposing pitcher on scorecard..

Like I also miss opposing team stat total at bottom of team stat total ...
