Thanks for the suggestion... we will add this to the list as well.

You are more than welcome! It's my personal pleasure to suggest enhancements for this fantastic application!FTMSupport wrote:Thanks for the suggestion... we will add this to the list as well.

one more idea, you could have it say, "now batting, #0, joe smith," as the music starts to play

When our web portal is fully functional, you will be able to tie custom sounds to each individual player for iScorecast (you will notice it has sounds for different types of plays right now, but not for individual batters). When we have that ability, you will be able to record whatever you want for the iScorecast. Maybe we can reuse that functionality as an option in iScore itself as well.

Just to clarify, this would be for my dads litttle league team, not just a noise when someone comes to the plate. I mean like they do in the big leagues with real songs.
Re: Batting and pitching music
I would be for it as long as it didn't slow things down or waste too much of your battery life.
Re: Batting and pitching music
another idea, there could be options for middle inning songs, and songs for comebacks (dont stop belivin comes to mind).
one more, if you do decide to use the music, there could be a confermation (there is no college for spelling) buttion for the batter, in the case of a pinch hitter

Hey, I don't want to spoil anyone's fun, but this app is getting pretty huge, and it's already a big drain on memory (see all the previous posts, including mine, concerning crashes). Please stick to what we need to score a game and keep records. You want music? Bring your boombox.

Re: Batting and pitching music
New functionality like this would not cause crashes, but it is currently not very high on our priority list.
At the highest level, here is how we prioritize:
1. Fix actual problems (crashes, logic problems, anything that is not working according to baseball rules, etc)
2. Add core functionality (things that prevent people from getting data into or out of the system that is really needed to completely score a game)
3. Add the most requested functionality (we listen to the iScore Community, and try and added features that the most people are requesting)
4. Add visionary features (our attempt at giving iScore functionality you will not find in any other product) - we have long term plans for iScore that we attempt to get closer to with every major release
5. Add features requested by fewer people but we feel will benefit the most (features that will not benefit everyone, we try and make optional so as not to impact people that don't want to use them or have no need for them)
6. Everything else
