But seriously, it would be helpful if there was a "back" button in addition to the "cancel." Many times in a long complicated multi-play entry, I realize I hit a wrong button and wish to just undo, redo the last step. Right now the only option is cancel, which takes you back to the beginning of the play. By then the next batter is up and it can get stressful in a hurry. I think this may have been mentioned in the past, so hopefully it is on the list of considerations.
edit - I forgot about the "shake" option. On the iphone a quick shake will undo the last action. I have not tried this on the ipad, but in theory it should work.
