Oops, I read it wrong, thought it was during the game. FTM and Ohiotex will keep swinging on the trouble shooting. FTM seems to always find a way.

The only thing we can think of is that the internet signal was lost. We do the sending of the iScorecast events in a background thread to prevent scoring delays when there is poor connectivity, but adding an indicator when that is the case is a good suggestion. We will add that to our enhancement list for a future release so you will be notified if events are not making it up to the server.

.......and once again, FTM support is right on top of it. They have become the support group that others should be measured by.

Many thanks.

Great suggestion. and glad we took all the time to trouble shoot and narrow down the cause of the trouble... score well. / later

I was the one that was also at that tournament and at those same fields. They did have wifi but it was a poor signal. I could not even get a signal at all with my iTouch although some iPhones around me could hit it. I ended up using my mobile hotspot. I talked to some of the Triple Crown people. They had wanted to webcast from the fields, but there just wasn't enough bandwidth. They also said the wifi at the park was being used heavily since they were doing all of their credit card transactions through it (and there were a lot of booths and a lot of CC transactions!). I think connectivity is the big issue with the live scoring you did.

As for lost signal during broadcast, I have had that even with my hotspot. That is why I always do an iScorecast synch after the game to make sure everything is up to date.

OhioTex,

FTM has commented on this that they will add a loss of signal indicator to their future enhancements list, so really no reason now to open up a new thread.

Petroguy,

I assume that when your signal was lost that it acted as I described ? The days we were there, there were no vendor booths operating due to the weather problems, so I don't think the bandwith was an issue.

For now, doing the post game sync is the only solution, but the post game sync really defeats the purpose of the live webcast. Hopefully FTM will incorporate some sort of notification if the signal is dropped while a game is being scored ( and webcast is turned on), and an option to sync and continue webcasting if the signal returns during the game.
