Home/Away colors

Post by dtkreutz » Mon Mar 22, 2010 7:14 am

I searched the forum to be sure I wasn't double posting, so sorry if I am.
Any thoughts on differentiating home vs away teams by a slight color variation on their pages? When the innings change, I'd like a visual indicator by a slight change in background color. This could be carried into the rosters as well. I've made a mistake or two adding players to the wrong team's roster in the heat of a game. ( just not being careful to check the team name.)
A visual clue would be helpful, without ruining the color scheme of the app.

FTM did some team color visual clues in their basketball app and carried the color theme throughout that app. It was very helpful in basketball substitutions. I believe it has been mentioned on the board before to consider for baseball app. and FTM has on its list for review and prioritization.

The next release adds team colors, though how we are going to use them throughout the interface is still being worked on as iScore Baseball is much more stylized than basketball, so fitting the team colors into various screens is not quite as straightforward.

Just a followup on my suggestion... I would much prefer a slight generic Home/Away color difference in keeping with the WONDERFUL graphic style of your program.
I would hate to see some garish customization option depending on individual team colors. Whatever you choose, a subtle differentiator would help a bunch.
