Game Time in pitch-by-pitch - recorded somewhere

Post by tbmartin » Wed Sep 18, 2013 7:41 pm

OK, so I was looking at an old game - one we unfortunately lost in the bottom of the last inning. It was my recollection that we started that last inning up 4-1, with less that 30 seconds on the clock when we recorded the last out. Our travel tournaments are time based, not inning based - each team gets equal at-bats, but you don't start a new inning after say 65 or 75 minutes - only way to keep a big tournament remotely close to being on-time. ...thus, we had to start a whole new inning...which we played and the other team scored 4 to win. I don't have any proof that we could have, with better time management, won that game. That needs to be recorded somewhere! On the pitch-by-pitch screen, at the beginning/end of each inning - somewhere!

Please add this soon.

The elapsed time for the game is always displayed right on the main scoring screen in the upper right. The umpire always has the final say on the time elapsed for a game however, so you can always ask them ump.

Right - but this is for post game analysis. To remind the coaches that if they paid better attention to the time during a game, they could avoid starting another inning - especially if we are winning.

We will add the request to our enhancement list, and if there are a lot of requests, the priority will increase. Thank you for the suggestion.

If you have a website subscription (and some time) you could use the gamedetail API for this, in case you don't want to wait for a new feature.

Have a look at the following link: http://api.iscoresports.com/teamwebsite ... B732D93168" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Each <PITCH> node has a "ms" attribute, which is the time in miliseconds from the first pitch.

Replace the teamname, API password and game guid in the link above to see this for your specific game. (http://api.iscorecentral.com/teamwebsiteapi.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
