Straight and Simple (complete) Substitution

Post by bsk713 » Wed May 08, 2013 5:25 am

Often, teams will have straight substitutions ( both batting and same fielding position), and often it is multiple players. I.E. in the 3rd inning, Player H will go in for Player D at second base and bat in Player D slot, Player M will go in for Player C at 3rd base and bat in Player C slot.
When we announce the subs to the umpire and opposing teams, we usually just say something like, "4 going in for 2 in the nine hole (referring to batting order) and 6 going in for 18 in the five slot." Generally they go to the position of the person they are batting for. I realize there's a need to also have it separate in some cases, but in many youth situations there's a need for simple and complete subs.
Is there a way to bring up a screen to just do that straight substitution, and the software would make both the offensive and defensive switch? Currently the only way I know is to do the offensive and defensive subs separately. With multiple subs happening at the same time it would be great if we could just list the names on a screen, highlight one and tap on the sub player.
Another idea would be to add a button to the existing Offensive sub screens asking for Same Defensive Position Sub and vice versa.
It would be nice if we could do that.

We will add this request to our enhancement list. You can do both at the same time right now just by toggling between the Offense + Defense tab on the sub screen.
