Pitcher Stats In Game

First I want to say that I really like this product. The more I have used it, the better I have gotten at handling almost every scoring situation. It generates fantastic scorecards and stats. A feature I really appreciate is being able to see the hitter's hit chart and stats in game. It gives me a much better understanding of defensive alignments and pitch selection.

Is there anything similar for the pitchers? Maybe I've missed something, but if not, is there any way to add this feature. It's particularly useful when a relief pitcher is brought in. Specifically, you touch the pitcher on the lineup and his stats come up.

If you are using a tablet device, tap a player in the lineup that is visible on the scoring screen, and it brings up the Player Card for that player (which includes stats). On Android devices, we do have a pitch chart view for pitchers on the Player Card. We find that a historical pitch chart is less useful than a hit chart is (i.e. showing the 600 pitches a pitcher threw over the last 6-10 games is not going to tell as much about where / how the pitcher will pitch to a specific batter as a hit chart does for a batter. A pull hitter will tend to be a pull hitter against any pitcher as long as he is not being overpowered for example.)

If you really want Pitching analysis, both the TruMedia add on and the Edge add on can provide some of that detail. TruMedia will show a "heat map" for your pitchers and you can filter by pitch types, etc. Edge will rate your pitchers on many different sets of statistics.

Thanks for the reply. What you suggest does work, but on my Ipad it means that I have to go to the Misc. menu, then lineup, then find the player and select the player card. I can't touch the player's name on the left hand side of the main screen because in the Cape Cod League, there are designated hitters so the pitcher only shows up in the pitcher box at the bottom of the lineup. If I could touch the pitcher's name in that box and then have the player card come up, it would be a little more user friendly.

I will look in to the add-ons. Thanks again for the quick reply.

Nice User interface enhancement idea.. not high on my priority list, but a nice add someday on tablets.
