What about 2 new % stats - strikeouts per plate appearance (or at bat) and walks per plate appearance (or at bat)?
In past years, I've used those stats to bump some players up or down in the lineup. If player 1 strikes out 20% more than another player with a similar average, I will probably move them down because in youth baseball and softball putting the ball in play is very important due to the larger percentage of errors committed. I use a similar process for walks, although that sort of comes through with OBP.

Re: 2 Potential new stats
Hey tonystai - we've got BB/PA and BB/K on our profile page (stats tab) at StatFame. Here's an example page with the stats:

K/PA wouldn't be a tough addition if needed.
