Broadcast play details

Post by Azstorm » Mon Jun 20, 2011 2:09 pm

When you are streaming the play by play, the text box with the play details gets truncated on the right hand side of the screen so when you are watching the play by play and want to see what happened during a particular play, the screen/text box on the right hand side only displays four lines. The text is machine generated so it's not like we are entering in unlimited text and it seems that you can accommodate the complete play description. It is frustrating for viewers when the text of the play trails off and they can not see what happened.

Are you saying this is happening on the iScorecast? Do have have an example of this happening? (i.e. a game link). You can send it to us directly at support@iscoresports.com. We know on the Pitch by Pitch view on the device we limit the amount of data shown, but on the iscorecasts, it should be dynamically sizing for viewers of the game.

The issue isn't in the main text area during the broadcast but in the pitch by pitch detail on the right hand side of the screen. If you miss a play while watching the broadcast and want to see what happened in a previous play, the only option you have is to replay the whole game or look in the pitch by pitch detail. When you look in the pitch by pitch detail on the right hand side of the screen, only four lines show up and the details of many plays are truncated and the viewer does not get to see what happened in the play. Why do you limit the text displayed in this area? Is there a work around or a setting that would enable all the text to be displayed?

If you can email us your customer ID, and which game you are haivng an issue with, we would like to take a look. Email us at support@iscoresports.com. The pitch by pitch detail on the right grows as needed (a "ball" is only 1 online, whereas a complicated play can take 5 or 6 lines). If you can include a screenshot as well, that would be helpful so we know what your viewer looks like.
