Hit Charts for Scouting purposes

Post by tigerbrud » Tue Jun 28, 2011 7:47 am

I would like to be able to use the hit charts for scouting when preparing for multiple games against the same opponent. Particularly, pitching sequence to batters. iScore allows you to chart pitch type and location as you score the game. Could you add a "scouting" tab to some of the post game options that creates a summary of each batter's hit chart along with the pitch sequence for each AB?

I have a vision of this chart/report in my head, but it is hard to describe in words on this forum. I envision a 1 page report that can display hit charts for multiple players on the same page. Each player's chart would also have separate boxes for each AB illustrations of the strike zone the location of each pitch along with the pitch sequence for each AB (1c=1st pitch curve, 2f=2nd pitch fastball, etc).

This would be very helpful for coaches to review how they have previously pitched to batters on teams that you play multiple times.

We do have a hit chart available if you log in to the Admin Website for your device (go to Options-> Admin Website in iScore for info on how to log in), then go to Teams, and click the "field icon" next to the team you want to see the hit charts for. We may create some kind of pitch sequence chart in the future. Thank you for the suggestion.

I've also suggested this, I was directed to the edgehq.com for advanced stats. Which is a nice thing, but I agree with you tiger, having this information consolidated on the device, within the app would be nice when you are at the park in between tournament games and havea coaches meeting without internet access....
