Can't Find Team in iScore Central (Resolved)

i have created the team in iScore app, created the roster, league teams, and our first 3 games. I have imported the app to the my.iscorecentral.com but when i go into the iscore central app to make sure i can find the team before i tell parents, I can't find the team. what am i missing?

Few comments

You can verify your games are 'published' to the iscorecast server by going to http://iscorecast.com and logging in using your scorekeeper app device ID. you will see a list of all games 'published' to the iscorecast server


in the iScore Central Viewer App (blue icon)

• 1) how are you trying to find the Game?
  by " GAME > SEARCH" or " TEAM > FIND TEAM" .
  Use " GAME > SEARCH" because " TEAM > FIND TEAM" only finds Team's with optional Team Website subscription.
  
  2) Under settings " MENU > SETTINGS > FAVORITES " is a date range filter. If your game is outside of those days, it won't be found.
  Try entering zero days in the days settings, and then see if you can find the game. by " GAME > SEARCH"
  << UPDATE - CORRECTION : This only impacts favorite teams not game search , See later threads >>.

In the iScore Baseball Scorekeeper App (green icon)

• you want to make sure iscorecast is enabled , check to see OPTIONS > ISCORECAST is ENABLED
• For each game, you want to make sure iscorecast server is updated, you can manually force sync when connected to internet,
  by GAME MANAGER > GAME > (scroll down) iSCORECAST SYNCHRONIZE (this is unfortunately different than OPTION > EXPORT which updates my.iscorecentral.com ).
• you will also want to check settings and status under, OPTIONS > SYNCHRONIZE .

• Email Game Link
  • FYI - There is an email game link option for each game, Using that works well. It gives user choice to open in web browser or app.
    in iOS device> iScore Baseball > GAME MANAGER > GAME > (scroll down) > EMAIL SCORECAST LINK

I don't know what i'm missing. I went to iscorecast and can see the three scheduled games and their dates and times are correct as well as the opponent. Our Team name is "Norman North 2" and I went into the "blue icon" app and changed the favorites settings to Zero but still am unable to find the games. I also went into the "scoring app" and clicked each game and did iscore sync. I was doing a search by team before your reply but tried to do it by game and still no luck.

Ok, I learned something.. and think i figured this out for you.. .

when are your games scheduled? my guess is they are not today, and their future dates fall outside of the "date range" used for GAME > SEARCH

It turns out, the date change trick i suggested in prior posts, i just learned, only impacts Favorited teams. (which makes sense as the name implies that) (I had to use a second account without my favorite teams to figure that out). I just did a rough test, and it looks like the forward date window for GAME > SEARCH is about 30 hours, ( I assume to not overload search results) . I suspect your games are later than 30 hours, so not showing up - but come game day, they will appear.

• Sorry for misleading you on prior posts upon further investigation, the SETTINGS > FAVORITES > DAY past/future day window only applies to Favorited teams once you Favorite a team, you will see the effect of SETTINGS > FAVORITES > DAY, and will appreciate the hidden "zero" day feature

You should send yourself an email link of one of your games and then click on it from your phone and view in the app prove to your self it is "published" and know why not showing up now and why it will on game day.

• you can also Favorite your team from this test. In the Viewer App, At the waiting for game to start message, just tap the triple dots in the upper right to expose the Add to favorite link and add team to your favorites
  You can now go to GAMES > FAVORITES and should see future games as dictated by the SETTINGS > FAVORITES > DAY timeframes. (if settings still set to zero, should see all)

by the way, what kind of device are you using, (iPhone, or android) ?

When i go into the "scoring app" and go to Game Manager>Select a Game>Scroll to the bottom....my options are Leagues. i-Scorecast Synchronize. Delete i-Scorecast. There is an email button at the very bottom but when i click it it just gives me the option to email the game stats to a particular email address i enter.

The first game is scheduled for tomorrow, May 26, at 7:15pm CST. The next two games are Saturday.

So one of the things that I noticed when I search for a game by name is that all of the games that populate are the "current popular games" and the ones listed all have at least 1 person watching the game. I logged into iscorecast and then tried to do a search on the "blue icon" app and sure enough it popped up and and i was able to add the team to my favorites and now have all 3 games listed under my favorites tab. Not sure if this is a glitch or not but I would think that you should be able to search for a team even if they don't have a team website and should be able to search for a game and it pull up all the games scheduled within the next 7 days at least.

I do not have an android device in front of me.. from memory, Email game link, may be under the MISC menu on the main scoring screen for Android.

GREAT , you found a very creative work around for the future time window. .. Let me explain for your and community education..

• * When you GAME > SEARCH , you will see two sections
  • - SEARCH RESULTS - followed by list of games found ( in your case none)
    - CURRENT POPULAR GAMES - followed by list active games being played (based on an algorithm that looks eyeball driven)
  * logging into iscorecast.com did not change GAME SEARCH RESULTS (only time will) but it did change CURRENT POULAR GAMES
  • by logging into iscorecast.com and clicking on a game to watch - even though game not started - you triggered an viewer Eyeball ...
    since not many games going on in morning mid week - one eyeball viewer made the cut for CURRENT POPLAR GAMES (very very clever )
    thus showing your game and allowing you to click on it and then click the three dot icon and favorite your team.
  * If you do GAME > SEARCH again, you will search results will still be driven by the Time Window
  • * unofficially my test shows that is about 30 hours future and about 6 ½ days past (not sure the developers logic on this and will post an enhancement request)
    * by the way, there are two other search methods, Scheduled and Near Me. I do not use them and have not spent time to figure them out because on first pass it seems inconsistent

Please post back after processing allthis, and testing if your team now shows up under GAME > SEARCH > Norman ...
(that way you can tell your parents with confidence, that on game day, it will be there, for simplicity i would say it is a 24 hour (not 30 hour window))
