Been a long time user of iScore but this is the first time I've tried to use the iPhone iScore Central app...not the scoring app.

Do you have to pay to view games using this app? I could not view live or completed games without getting a banner asking to upgrade to premium. When you click "no thanks" it just brings you back to the main screen.

Yes the cost is $5/ 3 months (about a youth season) for premium subscription. you need premium to watch play by play, the free part only shows you the scores. the premium fee also removes ad banner and allows you to save favorites and also provides a Audio version, (voice will play back the play by play for you to listen while driving.-it works pretty well too, See other post on forum about that, once you set the male voice to the right pitch/rate) .

the company transitioned its business model a few months back. the iScore baseball/softball scoring app (green icon) is now free (android and iOS) and the Central Viewer App (blue icon) (which was new) is a subscription for premium services. For the time being you can still watch iscorecasts on the computer for free, it is just the mobile app that is the pay for service

You can view the games without the App. Open a web browser and go to iscorecast.com. Then enter your customer ID

As mentioned iScoreCast is still available for free, however, the company has said they may or may not continue to develop the free browser view ..

In addition to http://iscorecast.com (enter customer ID).. a scorer can provide direct links to individual games. and Currently, When a scorer emails a game link and you click on it, you will get prompted to open " in a browser" or "in the App".

A unique feature (not available on free web browser iscorecast) only in the Premium Central Viewer App is a hands free, Radio like, audio broadcast feature. For $5 for a season, you get a feature that is truly unique and not offered in the web browser version.
