Exporting Rosters
Exporting Rosters
Is there a way to export/share a team roster from one iScore install to another?
I have another dad on our team that has just downloaded iScore and I want to export all of my rosters for him to save him some data entry.
Thanks,
MTC

Re: Exporting Rosters
there is not an automated way for you to do it by yourselves..... one of the enhancements on FTM list is "multiple device" usage...
FTM may respond back with a way for them to manually do it. they could overright the new dads device with data from your device if you both exported to them and then the new dad imported back after FTM does its magic. 'semi clone yours'. but that may be about it. and would erase everything on new dad's unikt.
unless it is tremendous amount of roster info, I would have him manually enter.

Re: Exporting Rosters
We can do a clone... that is no problem. If you export from both devices and email us (support@fasterthanmonkeys.com) your customer IDs from both devices (bottom left of options menu), we can do a transfer. As Ohiotex said, it overwrites whatever is on the device you are copying to, but it can save a lot of typing.
Our next release is going to allow data sharing without having to contact support to do it.
Thank you.

Re: Exporting Rosters
oh, this will be a nice enhancement. I need my wife to score games when I am not there. We both have iPhones and will be nice to be able to have her games sent to my iScore/iPhone.
I haven't checked the user id on her phone to see if it is the same as mine. I doubt it cause if she exported it would overwrite my precious data.
can't wait to see how this will work. What is the target release date for this new release?

Each phone has a unqieu customer ID, so you would be able to share with your wife just fine.
We are hoping to submit this release within the next week (it has been growing quite a bit as the new season is ramping up and people have been requesting features that we have been including).

Re: Exporting Rosters
would I have the ability to select which Rosters/Games etc that I wanted to share with her or her with me? I might not always want all of her games as she is not as meticulous as I am about her scoring but something is better than nothing.

That will ROCK! I have two daughters and I want the Mrs to be able to keep score at ones games while I am doing the other daughters game.
PS - I need this by March 20th. LOL

We are trying very hard to get it submitted to Apple ASAP.
