Little League Tournament Lineup

This is the first year I am using Iscore for our Tournament. We will bat 9 and carry 13. Little League rules state that substitute players are "married" to the player they sub in for. The sub can only replace the starter for the entirety of the game. Up to this point all of the games I have scored have been where the whole team bats. Is there anywhere I can go to see about scoring for this type of lineup? Or is this the normal way to score a game with 9 starters?

Just set Batting = NO for the players that are not in the starting lineup, and they will be available for offensive substitution. If you just score according to what you see happen at the game, things will be fine. The players being "married" to a player they sub for may be a rule for the league, but it does not change the scorekeeping. When you see a substitution occur, just perform the offensive substitution in iScore and the stats will be kept accordingly. See the following link for information on performing an offensive substitution:

Substituting on defense and assuming spot in batting order!

I have been using iScore for 2.5 years. We typically bat all 11, during All Star tournaments we bat 9 and substitute. I understand how to sub on offense.

Confused on how to substitute a player (from bench not in starting lineup) to the field on defense and have that player assume the spot in lineup of person he replaced (married). How do I do this? I have searched and can't seem to find.

Totally bungled first games scoring as a result and have to re-enter game from manual book. Would love to score correctly tonight!

FTM's comment to score as you see it means that you do not have to reflect offensive subs when a team is on defense, you just have to score what you see. i.e. mark the subs in the field as you see them and next inning when the team comes to bat, make sure the batter that is batting is correct on iscore. If not, tap the batter icon and record the offensive sub. Scorekeepers do not always know who a defensive sub is coming in for in the lineup and the ability to independently record offensive and defensive subs gets around that.

If you do know who the defensive sub will replace in the lineup, you can record the sub at the same time. After tapping on the field position and making the substitute there, then click on the offense tab on the sub screen. It will bring up the lineup and you can indicate the offensive sub at the same time. (This assumes you are using an ipad. iphone and android locations may be different.)

Missing a sub can be changed after the fact (no need to rescore!) Just go to the beginning of the inning or at-bat in play by play edits and enter the substitution there.
