Batting 8 and taking out for the 9th

How can I score an out for the 9th batter in our lineup when we only have 8 playing today? Do I need to add a player named "out" for the 9th lineup spot or...

You can leave the missing player in or use a dummy player in that spot. Misc-> Skip Batter.
