remove or modify a game adjustment after the game is over

When we use iscore for our softball team, we do not track the batter by batter plays of the opposing team. When the opposing team is hitting, after the inning is over, we simply use the game adjustment option to change the score and inning based upon what the opposing team did.

I.e. We are up in the top of the 1st..... we track what our hitters do and enter stuff normally. Let's say we score 0 runs. In the bottom of the 1st, when the opposing team is up, we do not enter in the batter by batter results. If they score 1 run in the bottom of the 1st, we use game adjustment and change the score to us:0 them:1 and then change the inning to be the top of the 2nd.

My question is this.... after a game is over if we need to modify a game adjustment, I go to pitch by pitch and click the game adjustment. When I do this, it only allows me to change the score again..... it does not allow me to change the inning or remove the game adjustment.... only to modify the score again.

So how can I go into a game adjustment after the game is over and either delete it or change the inning again?

If you are doing this every inning, there should be an event for each inning which could be edited. The only thing to edit would be the score. You wouldn't edit the inning, you would go to the game adjustment entry for the inning you want to edit.

yes, we do it for every inning. And yes, there is a game adjustment event that can be edited. But I need to remove that game adjustment, or edit the inning that we set it to in the game adjustment. Is that not possible?

I guess I'm not following.

Why would you need to remove? There is always a score, if the score for that inning isn't correct, edit it to the correct score.

Every play can be edited with a game adjustment whether you inserted a game adjustment or not.

Maybe you could provide more details...

basically I was trying to do this because one of our pitchers came into the game in the 7th. Because of the game adjustment, it was showing up as if he came into the game in the wrong 1/2 of the inning. I ended up just undoing the stats back to that point, and entering the pitcher in the correct 1/2 inning.

Again, I don't see how this is related to game adjustment. You can edit the substitution for that point of the game.

I assume you are using Misc->End Inning to end each half inning for the other team? You can edit the substitutions there (and the game adjustments if necessary).

I also am curious why this would be relevant if you aren't tracking defensive statistics anyway.

undoing all the way back is always an option, but doesn't seem necessary in this case.

We were not using misc - end innning, because that option does not allow for a score change. Granted, not every 1/2 inning of our opponent requires a score change, and we could use "end inning", but "adjust score" was easier since it allowed for entering the opponents runs scored for the inning and ending the inning.

The reason this was relevant, even though we are not tracking defensive statistics, is because we are tracking what pitchers pitched, how many innings they pitched, and who got the win. I had previously found that I can not enter the winning pitcher if I do not put anybody in the pitcher position. so I was putting a player at the pitching position and then, when the game ended, was trying to put in the pitching substitutions that happened during the game for us. I couldn't find the right spot to do it in. Because we had used the "Adjust score" option and essentially "skipped" the 1/2 inning our opponent bats, the play by play list did not have any entries for their 1/2 inning...... thus I couldn't pick a spot to make the pitching substitution.

If this does not make sense, it's ok, because the issue was resolved through the undo and reenter process.

OK, not trying to belabor the point, you got your end result which is good.

Just for point of clarification...how are you flipping the sides if not recording outs and not using end inning?
Are you just entering 3 outs regardless of what happened in the inning, then entering a score?

Also, the game adjustment CAN be done in misc-end inning event, as can the substitution.

i had been ending the inning using the game adjustment. If the opponent was up in the bottom of the 1st, after their 1/2 inning I would go to game adjustment, change thescore if they got any runs, and then change the inning to the top of the 2nd. That is how i was flipping sides.

I've realized though, that it is better to use game adjustment only if they score runs, and not change the inning there. After doing the game adjustment if they score, I then end their 1/2 inning with end inning. The reason I was not doing this before is because I thought it would end the entire inning if the were the visting team, but I realized it only ends their 1/2 inning.
