I cannot edit homepage!! Help

I have tried about 30 times to make a simple link to our team gamecast on the homepage. It will not take. I have used wysiwyg before and had no trouble. For some reason, everything I try to change is a problem and I cannot get it to work for me. Anyone else have this problem or a solution? Cruising this forum has not helped.

If you can tell us exactly what you are trying to do, we may be able to help more. But here is a link to the Tiny MCE user guide (which is the editor that is used for home pages):

do I need to have plone? I have not used it up to this point.

I am trying to create a simple text link to the URL for our gamecast on our homepage.
