In two recent games, I have had the following situation:
Runner on first
Batter hits ground ball to 6
6 makes good throw to 4
4 mishandles throw and runner is safe at 2nd
Batter is safe at 1st

This should be scored as the batter reaching on a fielders choice, assist to 6, E4

I tried entering it this way:
In play
Fielders Choice
Locate position of ball
Touch 6-4
What happened to the runner on 1st? Safe at 2nd, Error, touch 6-4 (even made sure to say the runner would have been out without the error)
What happened to the batter? Held up

This resulted in an extra out showing up in the final stats, I assume due to the initial Fielders Choice selection.

I also tried entering it this way:
In play
Error
Locate position of ball
Touch 6-4
What happened to the runner on 1st? Safe at 2nd, Error, touch 4

This resulted in 2 errors showing up in the final stats. And, the E4 appears at 1st base on the batter's line on the scorecard.

What is the correct way to enter this so that 6 gets credit for an assist, 4 gets the error, the batter reaches on a fielders choice, and the scorecard accurately reflects the play?

When you enter a Fielder's Choice, the bottom of the screen specifically says to "Only include the positions involved in making the outs(s)". Since no outs were made on the play, do not touch any positions when it asks after tapping Fielder's Choice.. just tap Next.
