Starting Lineups

Ok, again, here's a newbie question. When I can't get lineup cards prior to a game (I use 'quick roster' to get myself a starting point to start the game with), is there a way to modify the generic 'quick start roster' players as they come up on the main scoring screen (Ex. adding #'s, player positions, etc)?

I've been using the 'Misc' button at the bottom of the main scoring screen to jump out to the 'Starting Lineups', modify the batters there as they come up, and them jump back to the main scoring screen. This seems very cumbersome to me, and I'm wondering if there's a better way to do it.

If you tap the player (batter or fielder), then tap the arrow or edit button on the right side of the list of players next to the player you want to edit, you can edit their # and name without having to go back to the starting lineup.

If you read the section in the iScore Manual about substitutions, it talks specifically about how to do this:

Ok, I read the manual section you recommended and it did indeed answer a number of my questions. However, I still have one issue unresolved. Scenario as follows.

I have our team and roster scored in iScore.
We start a new game that I didn't get any lineup cards for beforehand. I use Quick Lineup for the opposing team, and then modify batters as they come to the plate on the main screen as noted in the manual. No problem. However, I usually start our team with only the lead off batter designated as hitting, because I have no idea what our lineup will be until they come up to bat. In this case, it does not appear as though I can modify the lineup any way other than to go out to the Starting Lineups page, and slide players into the proper order while designating them as batting. In this case, I'm not so much modifying batter info as with the opposing team, but rather the order of existing rostered players already recorded in iScore.

Any way around that issue?

Yes, to change the # of batters in the starting lineup, you would have to go to the Starting Lineup screen and rearrange them. Typically you would want to look in the on deck circle to see who is next up and arrange things as you see them. Depending on the size of your rosters, it may be easier to set all players to Batting = YES and when you see the first player in the on deck circle again, set Batting = NO for the remainder of the batters.
