Bases are loaded, one out. Batter lines into a double play,4-6.runner on 2nd,doubled off 2nd. Whats the best way to accurately record this. I want to make sure the scorecard shows the batter grounding into a DP.

I usually would score that Line Out to SS, runner on third held, runner on 2nd (tap Double play)

Then it automatically closes out the inning. However, I wonder how we make sure the second baseman gets credit for that? How would we differentiate SS just tags the runner/base by himself versus SS there to 2B for the DP.

When entering the line drive for the out, if the ball was thrown to the second baseman, tap SS-2B when it asks who was involved in the out(s). If it was the SS just stepping on 2nd, then you would only select SS as @mtcooper suggests.

The key for getting DP on score card is to use the Double play key on the second out as suggested.

The key to differentiate assist and put outs is the player sequence you tap in response to question of who involved with the outs? , a line out 4-6, DP, Entry gives put out and assist to 4. And put out to 6. A Line out, 4, DP , entry -Gives 2 put outs to 4.
( FYI an Alternative way to enter common double plays is the quick play feature ( swipe out - and pick from common list of plays for data entry )

You mentioned wanting to show batter 'grounded into a double play' but described a line out. IScore does assign GDP when you enter as ground out and use double play button but does not if first out is fly or line drive.
