with a runner on second, one out,the batter flies out to CF. The CF than quickly doubles off the runner at second . So it would be a double play charged to the batter, but how would this be indicated?

assumeing it is the shortstop receiving the ball at second..
So F8 for batter put out , 8-6 DP., for assist by CF and putout by short on the force

So In Iscore
Tap .. Out> fly out > med, fly, location, next> CF- CF- SS done >
What happen to runner at 2nd? > Out > double play

I should add ..

Technically you do not have to double enter CF on that play - it is just a habit /preference of mine..

You can save yourself a tap and enter 8-6 (instead of 8-8-6 ) and Iscore will capture the defensive stats correctly (when u tap double play button, Iscore interprets the last position as PutOut and second to last as Assist)

I just grew up doing F 8, 8-6DP in pencil on my paper book , so that is what I do in iScore but I believe 8-6DP is technically more correct .. The extra 8 being redundant .

Also for background....In Iscore it is important to use the "Double Play" button ( instead of 'force or tag out' on second out ) so the fielding stat DP to be collected. and offense stats of GDP and GTP to be captured. ( note there is not a ' fly into double play' , stat , just ground into DP)
