setting the lineup using stats

Post by jmholt96 » Wed Jul 31, 2013 7:35 am

I am coaching Rec League Softball. I use Iscore almost religiously but Im not sure if I am interpreting the statistics correctly to help set my batting lineup. Should I be using the order in which the players are listed in the team stats to generate the most runs statisticly possible?

There are many different opinions on this. Some favor batting avg, others speed, others OBP. I suggest doing a google search on how to set a baseball line-up and read all the various "rules." You'll find one you like.

Thank you, I agree with what you say about personal preference. It seems everyone prefers something different, and while analyzing stats is not new, I havent been able to find anyone who really feels strongly one way or the other on how to use them.
