same player in several leagues with different uniform number

Post by frostyboys » Mon Nov 02, 2009 9:53 am

I am the scorekeeper for my son's baseball teams. at one point during baseball season he could be playing for 3 different teams (rec league, travel league, all star league) and have 3 different uniform numbers. Should i just have one entry for him in the players list? can his number be edited on the fly if i just list him once?
last year i had him as 2 separate players with the associated number for each team but i dont think thats the best way to do it. any help is appreciated. thanks!

I would change the number in the roster of each game. On his player card the stats will show up with all games played all teams. I think his team stats would still show only the games played with that team. I am new to this app but I think that is correct.

Players can have different #'s for each team they are on. Just create the player one time, and when you add that player to a team, you can edit the number for that team. The # only applies to that team.

.

small reminder/ point of clarification (related to the stats comment not the player number).
.... Stats display depends on your use and selection in league manager. I would recommend Frostyboy create multiple leagues for his player, (aka, rec-09, travel-09, all star-09) and assign games to them as appropriate, then player stats can be viewed individually by league, in total or by any selected combination of leagues .

Thats typically what i have been doing. Listing him once is much better. Having the league option seemed to eliminate my original problem. Thanks for the suggestions.
