So, runner on first, a guy singles to LF. Left fielder bobbles allowing runner to score unearned. How do I input this? I can advance the runner to 2nd via the batter and then scores on the error. Thanks.

Most people would just mark the runner as safe at home on error and not worry about the advance to second by batter as it has no statistical relevance.

Good point. I'm a journalist and sometimes think too much like one when I'm using this awesome app. Need to start thinking more like a scorekeeper! Cheers.

I was wondering about this too regarding how it shows up on the scorecard. Maybe I'm too anal.
We had a runner on first, batter hits a ball up the middle that the center fielder lets go through her legs. Runner makes it home and batter ends up on third base. Runner on first would have been advanced by batter to second and then E8 for going from second to third and from third to home. Batter also makes it to second and then to third on the error. So when I scored that during the game, I'm pretty sure I touched, In play, single, location of hit, what happened to runner on first, safe at home, error 8 and then what happened to batter, safe at third, held up (probably should have hit E8). On the scorecard it shows for the runner E8 as the reason for gaining second, third and home and for the batter it has 1B and then advanced to second and third by themselves.
The only way I see to get it to show up better on the scorecard is to touch, In play, single, location of hit, what happened to runner on first, safe at second, advanced by batter, batter safe at first and then before entering the pitches for the next batter in line, touch runner on second, safe at home, E8, what happened to runner on first or touch runner on first and put safe third, E8. How many errors 8 is charged then is the question is suppose.
Since the scorecard shows up on the team website and other parents look at it, I guess I just like to the scorecard to show as much as possible what actually happened rather than having to refer to the play by play.
I agree still a great app. I've enjoyed using it for 2 plus years and the support has been great.
