Club Solution?

Post by MCScrapE » Mon Apr 08, 2013 9:16 am

I am part of a baseball club that has teams at different age levels. What is reommended to have a single website account and have all the different age level teams and their respective games? I know how to transfer data to and from devices and have an idea but I want to ensure whatever I deploy doesn't overwrite data. Thank you.

A team website can only be for a single team. You would need a team website for each team in your organization. Check out my website as an example, we have several teams using iscore (and some that dont).

A single team website can only be associated with a single team. There is not a way to have a single site that is associated with multiple teams right now. It is something that we have on our longer term enhancement list, but for now, team sites are just one per team.

Mark, thanks for replying. I wasn't clear on the website definition. I was referring to the iscore admin website. It would be nice as the club stats guy to be able to manage all the teams stats and other admin stuff from a single point.

Your site brings up another question. Do you somehow export your stats from iScore to be able to post on your site? It looks like your club has a custom built site and you have imported information from it. Perhaps you made a link from within iScore?

Sounds like for each different team I need to have a separate account (team9u@gmail.com, team10u@gmail.com, etc.) and then associate the necessary devices with the appropriate account. Is this what I am taking from the responses so far?

No.

Every device is a unique user ID. Each user ID has its own admin website page.

You can register all devices under one email address if you want, but that wont help you a lot. Its more intended for sharing of add-on purchases.

Data sharing will allow all the data from multiple devices to be collected on a single device:

Yes, this how the team sites work. Anytime you export, it will update the site(s). I have simply embedded parts of the team website into my own website. You arent forced to use the iscore sites. There are various ways to get the data into your own site (with varying degrees of complexity).
