QAB?
QAB?
I saw that quality at bats were added to the new update. I found where to view them after a game but how do you edit them?
Re: QAB?
Team Stats -> Settings (Gear icon, lower right) ->QAB1, 2, 3 tabs.

Re: QAB?
Can someone explain what the QAB stat is and how and why you would use it? for example what is the difference between type 1, 2 or 3? There are probably other stats that have been added that I'm not sure of like Quality starts, tough losses and cheap wins, but this quality at bat one really puzzles me.
Re: QAB?
Forgot to mention though that I'm using an android phone, I just found this subject when I did a search for Quality at bat.
Re: QAB?
I dont believe there is an official QAB stat. However the idea is to determine when an at bat is productive in a way that fits the situation, whether that involves advancing the runner with a sacrifice bunt or even a ground ball out, getting on base, or making the pitcher throw a lot of pitches.
iScore gives you the ability to customize 3 QAB stats to fit your interpretation.

Re: QAB?
So will something come up at the end of a plate appearance that says "was that QAB 1, 2 or 3"?

Re: QAB?
We do not yet have a way to User Define the QAB on Android, but will be adding it soon.
In the meantime, here are the default settings for each of the 3 QAB values...
QAB1 - counted if any of the following are true:
* Base Hit
* Sac Bunt
* Sac Fly
* Hard ground ball
* Hard line drive
* Hard fly ball
* 6+ pitches
QAB2 - counted if any of the following are true:
* Base Hit
* RBI
* Sac Bunt
* Sac Fly
* 6+ Pitches
QAB3 - counted if any of the following are true:
* Hit w/RISP
* RBI
* Sac Bunt
* Sac Fly
* 6+ Pitches

Re: QAB?
No. If you go to Team Stats -> click the gear icon and click on any of the QAB tabs, you can set each one up. It will then be part of your stats.
So, for example, you could define QAB1 to be any hit plus any ball marked as hit hard (regardless of end result). QAB2, could be any hit plus any line drive, plus any ab where batter saw 8+ pitches.
(These are just basic examples)
But, once setup, no interaction from you is required outside of normal scoring steps. It uses the information from scoring and your preset definitions to calculate.
