Beginning Scoring after Game Start

Anyone have this problem......
If I'm late to a game, even by an inning or two. It is impossible to catch up.
I'm asking other parents what happened in order, but the game is continuing as I'm scrambling to enter plays and them I'm even further behind.

Is it possible to start mid game and fill in the rest later?
Obviously this is a big advantage of score keeping on paper.
I know you can change plays, but I'm not sure you can add batters to earlier innings once you sort it all out.

If i miss a game, my season stats are incomplete. Sorry if I'm not making sense, but my wife is sick of me running read lights in order to be there for the first pitch.

No, there is not a good way to start late and fill in previous innings. iScore expects to keep track of the full flow of the game. You may want to just score games you arrive to late on paper and later transcribe to iScore from the paper book. It takes about 15 minutes to enter a complete game from a well kept paper scorebook.

I have done this before:

Arrive in second inning...start scoring at that point as if the game just started. If the 6th batter is the first batter you score, set it as if hes the leadoff batter. Score the game, just to get all the events captured.

Then, snap a picture of the other team's book after the game to get the first inning events.

Now re-enter the game using the combination of your partial play-by-play in iscore and the other teams score book. Delete partial game.
