It would be nice to have a menu tab in both the team and player sites that allow the inporting of news articles or other events.

Good suggestion... we do plan on several updates to the team websites in the coming months and will keep this one on our list.

Why not just create a link on the home page..?

If I were going to advocate another left hand side menu item ( what i think u ment by tab). I would arque for free form Web page w ability to name the page button
