problem with separating last year's data for returing player

I have only two players from last year's team. When we started playing this Fall with the new team, we added new players and eliminated the departed players. We use the League function to set up each tournament. So, I eliminated all of the "leagues" from last year.

Unfortunately, the two returning players still show their stats from last season on the website. Even though the leagues from last season are eliminated these players cumulative stats are still skewed, by the previous season's data.

Please help me resolve this issue.

In website settings there is an option to set the default league. I would make this the appropriate league that shows only what you want to see (Fall 2012 Season, or whatever).

Right now, its probably set to ALL, which is capturing everything for these players.

Thank you for responding. We are a travel team that plays in different tournaments each week. In the past, I have used the league function to separate stats on a week by week basis. Maybe this is not the best method to use. Your thoughts?

I want to be able to view both cumulative stats for the year and individual week's stats. I also make this available to players and parents on our Iscore hosted website.

Leagues are just a way of "grouping" data. You can use leagues to represent years, tournaments, groups of important games, or whatever you would like. A game can be assigned to more than one league, so this grouping is very flexible. You should be able to still use it for your tournaments as well as grouping by year.

I have tried every recommended solution. None have been successful. Is there any support that can be accessed from Iscore, on this matter?

This is a fine method if this is how you like to see it. The key is to use leagues very liberally...again you can apply as many leagues as you wish.

In your original post, you mention a couple times "eliminating" leagues. I'm not sure if this means you deleted them or what. I would not delete leagues ever (or really anything else in iscore). Use leagues to filter things.

Here is an example of what leagues you might use:
2012 ALL
2012 FALL
2012 SPRING
2012 Spring Week 1
2012 Spring Week 2
2012 Fall Week 1
2012 Fall Week 2

So, for a spring, week 1 game it would have the following leagues:
2012 ALL
2012 SPRING
2012 Spring Week 1

So, sorting by league 2012 would show this game and all other games from 2012 regardless of spring or fall.
Sorting by 2012 Spring, would show this game and any other games for just Spring 2012
Sorting by 2012 Spring week 1, would only show games from that specific week.

All leagues are select-able on the website, and you can set what the default view is.

For 2013, you could set up all the same leagues with 2013 designation.

Here are the leagues I will use this year (and have been pretty much repeating these for 3 years running now), which may spur some other ideas:
2013 All Games - All Games from 2013 - also my default league on my website
2013 Home - Can view all Home Games
2013 Away - Can view all Away Games
2013 League I-80 Division Game - Can view all I-80 West Div games
2013 League I-80 League Game - Can view all I-80 games
2013 League AABC Game - Can view all AABC games
2013 Non-League Game - Can view all non-league games a group
2013 Tourney #1 - Each individual Tourney gets assigned so that they can viewed as a separate tourney
2013 Tourney #2 - Each individual Tourney gets assigned so that they can viewed as a separate tourney
2013 Tourney #3 - Each individual Tourney gets assigned so that they can viewed as a separate tourney
2013 All Tourneys - All tourney games get assigned this so that I can view them as a group
Trending - Last 10 games - I keep the last 10 games assigned to this league

So, a tourney game for us might have all these leagues:
2013 Tourney #3
2013 All Tourneys
Trending - Last 10 games
2013 Non-League Game
2013 Away
2013 All Games

Hope this helps.

Mark is correct is his posting

I assume you are taking about the "Team Web Site" and not the iscore cast.. for stats on the web.

It sounds like you have games from last year associated with this years team and have not structured leagues to filter them out.

I have multiple kids on multiple teams in multiple season and the league filter works when maintained correctly. .the more granular you segment, the more work it takes work to make sure the right games are assigned to the right leagues and that you select the right leagues from the web site..

go back on your device and review each game the team played in to see what leagues are associated with it. Make sure all the correct checks are where you want. Make sure the TEAM is also assigned to the Correct leagues. then Option export to update web site. an dmake sure your setting there allows you to select leagues to filter...
