curiosity question related to pitch location

For those of you that record pitch locations: do you sit behind home plate when you're scoring, or do you just locate the pitch using best judgement from wherever you happen to be sitting?

I'm getting pretty good with the app, so I'm thinking about starting to record pitch locations and wanted to do the "generally accepted" thing so I would get good data and not tick off pitchers' parents.

I sit behind home plate. If I'm not there, I don't record the locations. I'm not good enough to tell where a pitch was if I'm scoring from the side.

Yep, if I use location (I usually don't), I'm directly behind the plate.

I'm almost always in the dugout when using the app, although sometimes I do it while coaching first. I record pitch location by looking where the catcher sets up then where he catches it. Or sometimes by the batter's reaction or swing. I'm not too good at getting the location when the batter gets a hit.
