Game Manager rosters don't show up under Team Manager

Post by dcnmills » Fri May 18, 2012 10:04 am

Hi all-
How do I get the rosters that have been input within Game Manager to show up under the teams in the Team Manager? When I played a team for the 2nd time, I expected the roster that I had put in our previous game to show up for that team again. It didn't and is also not in the Team Manager. All teams are under the same League, so, I thought that should tie it all up.

Thoughts? What obviously easy button did I miss? :D

Thanks!
David

The list of players in Team Manager is called the Roster. The list of players in a game is called the Lineup. When you create a new game, the players are automatically copied from the current Roster to the Lineup for that game.

If you are entering players directly into a lineup for a game, if you press the Options button on the Lineup, there is a "Copy Lineup -> Roster" button that will appear... tap that to copy Lineup changes back to the Team Roster. Then the next game you create for that team will include the updates.

Ahhhh. Yes, I've had to enter lineups per game as we don't know rosters until then and don't have time to do both. I saw that button under Options but wasn't sure what it did. I will do that.

Thanks much for the quick reply!

Me again... two things. How do I get the Options menu up after the game is ended? I don't find it.

Also, I tried to go into my last game and "undo" it so it was no longer "ended" to see if I could find the option but could not. And, when I left the screen, that game disappeared from my iPad.

Does the transfer lineup to roster have to take place during a live game?

Is there a way to get the game back that has disappeared?

Thanks!

Ok, I found how to do the "lineup to roster" transfer after the game is done. But am still missing a game.

The easiest way post game to get to the lineup screen is to go to Game Manager, select the game, select Pitch by Pitch, tap Game Starts, then tap Edit next to Starting Lineup.

If a game "disappears", the most common reason is turning off the league the game is in. Go to League Manager and make sure you have a check next to the "All" league. Then go back to Game Manager and you should see your game.
