Substitution Question

Post by reddog23 » Mon May 07, 2012 7:04 am

I searched the forum some and didn't see this specific question answered... I started a game, but had a player play that was not listed on my roster before I created the game. I went and added him to the roster, but it does not appear that I can sub him into the game. He doesn't appear as an available sub when I try to put him in. Is there any way to do this without creating a new game and re-scoring it?

Yes. Go to pitch by pitch editing and edit the starting lineup. The new player can be added here (and then copied to the team roster if desired by using copy lineup to roster.) As you noticed, changes to a team roster made after a game has been created will not affect the game lineup already created/saved. If you want the new player to be a sub be sure you mark him as batting - no. The player will then be available as a substitute later in the game.

Thank you so much! Turned out to be a three minute fix rather than rescoring the entire game.
