Add-on Major League Info

Post by mpsantos » Sun Apr 29, 2012 2:45 pm

Hi,
I bought the 2012 major league thing. However I am a little disappointed that it only shows the roster for each team (you can view the stats for each player by opening the player card). Why can't we have the team stats viewable like we have for the games we score directly??? 20 bucks seems really steep for what little it does now.

On another note, what about having the games play by play from the major league? I realize this may be a significant undertaking!

Thanks,
Mark

The MLB Rosters let you see the statistics for each player, the flip side of the card includes a link to ESPN for each player, the rosters are updated daily with any changes, and right before game time, you can get the lineup for each game automatically set.

iScore is about keeping score, it is not a "viewer" of games. The statistics that are calculated by iScore are based on the games you score, but we do provide this additional MLB stat data for those that want it. Bringing in the play by play from MLB would be more of a "viewer" app than a scorekeeping app (think MLB at Bat). This add on helps enhance your scoring of games, but is not intended to just let you watch MLB games.

Hi,
Thanks for the explanation. You mention that the add-on helps enhance your scoring. Can you explain how this feature in it's current form does that? I see a basic roster for each MLB team and stats for individual players but I am not getting how this would help enhance your scoring. A team stat view would be really nice instead of having to open each player card.

Beyond that, I stick with my assessment that $20 is REALLY expensive for what this gives you, which isn't much.

Thanks,
Mark

While you are scoring a game, you would look at what each player has done. When a batter comes to the plate, you would not be wondering what the entire team does. The product is about the scorekeeping.

If you are not happy with what the add on offers, email us at support@iscoresports.com with your customer ID and we can remove it from your account and give you a refund (if purchased through the website), or tell you how to request a refund from Apple (if you used in app purchase).

Thanks for the reply and I am understanding what this it used for now. If I were to want to score MLB games, having the roster up front would be a big help.

Thanks,
Mark
