Will we be able to keep the 2009 MLB player list in 2010?
Will we be able to keep the 2009 MLB player list in 2010?
Will we be able to keep the 2009 player list into 2010 and beyond? That is, if I buy the MLB rosters next year, will I still have the (final) 2009 rosters that I bought this year? I would like to keep them if at all possible.

Yes, the 2010 roster will be a separate league from the 2009 roster, so you will be able to keep them both as separate data sets.

Great! Thanks. Is there any chance of getting past seasons as well?

We don't currently have any plans for past seasons, but if enough people are interested, maybe we could do it.

Put me down as one. This is because I use iScore with past seasons while playing APBA baseball, and I'd gladly pay for a year's roster rather than typing all those names in! I'm still working on 1984 and have 1968 and 2006 to do. This is why I want to keep 2009 - I suspect I will purchase this year from APBA at the end of the season and I won't have to type all those names in again!

I am also game for using iScore Baseball with past seasons (including 1984... so I can try my hand at scoring the infamous Sandberg Game...).

Hello, first time, long time. Anyway, if we were to purchase this MLB update, could we trade the players among teams to get accurate 2010 rosters on our own? Thanks in advance!

The players will be in your database from the 2009 rosters, so yes, you could select them on different teams in 2010. Newly drafted players would have to be added manually, and players that are no longer on the team would have to be removed manually.
By keeping an active subscription, here are the things you get:
1. Rosters are updated daily --- any trades, new player additions, players going on DL, being activated, etc... will automatically be updated on your device.
2. Stats for all players are updated daily. You will always get the latest stats for the players.
3. The ability to do a "one click sync" just before game time to get the latest lineup information. Many times the lineup is very similar to the previous day's lineup with the exception of the pitcher, so it is not too hard to update the lineup at game time, but it is a nice convenience.
4. Direct links to mlb.com for each of the MLB players when viewing their player cards. This gives you the ability to see any late breaking news, etc... about that specific player (click "Flip" on any MLB player card to see this... it browses the mlb.com site directly).
If the above items don't matter to you, and you are really just looking for a way for most of the entry of player information to be done for you, then certainly the 2009 rosters can be used for the 2010 season.
Additionally, we are close to launching a way to update your rosters (though not MLB rosters) online. You can see more information about that here: http://iscore.freeforums.org/early-stag ... -t624.html
With this, you will be able to easily enter rosters through a web page. So you could create your own set of MLB teams with this method. They would not be tied to our MLB database, but you would not have to purchase the Major League add on package at all.
And of course, you could always enter the player directly into the device as well... though we understand with about 750 active players, plus any number of currently inactive players... that is a lot of typing into an iPhone.

And let me add, in my opinion:
1) The price is right
2) FTM support is second to none.
FTM has managed to deliver a first rate app and add-ons at prices that are pretty accesible, so there is no catch. I hate when companies try to "get you" via the add-ons and extra functionality. FTM don't cripple their apps, on the contrary, they keep adding our every wish. I can't say enough good things about my experience with this company. I sure hope there were more like them.

Tell me about it! I'm still entering 1984 players, and have 1968 and 2006 yet to do! I am really looking forward to the online roster maintenance.
