braves v. dodger
the play:
kemp on 1st, either at bat.
either pops a single to left field for a base hit
kemp trys to take home tagged out via 7-6-2
2 throws to 3 to tag either out

7-6-2-3 DP

I scored it.
in play>hit single>mark ball
what happen to kemp? home>out>tagged out>7-6-2
what happened to either? Out>tagged out>2-3>done

How do you score that as a double play? and still give either the hit?

what happened to either? Out>tagged out>2-3>done
what happened to either? Out>Double Play.

either was out. He hesitated between 1st and 2nd while kemp was running home. then the catcher threw him out. 2-3 for the 2nd out.

right.

(in iScore) "what happened to either?" Select "Out", "Double Play".

got that but when I select double play for either's out it does not allow me to put the players involved.

So this is how you would score it?
at bat either, kemp on 2nd.
in play>single>mark ball>what happened to kemp?>Out>home>tagged out>7-6-2-3>what happened eithier?>out>double play.

on score card the tag out is in kemps box (7-6-2-3), and the DP is on eitheirs box, but does not denote 2-3 tag out

PS. thanks for all the help, semi new to scoring, use to do it by hand at the ball park, but stumbled on to this and like it so much better, allows you to get your head out of the scorecard and watch more of the game.

That is the correct way to score it. It will show the batter number that was up in Kemp's box. You would then look at that batter # (Ethier) to see the "touches" for the play (7-6-2-3).
