Roster Importing

Post by sstrife16 » Wed Apr 18, 2012 6:01 am

Just started using the Iscore app for Ipad. We are getting into our league schedule. I have been using Quick roster and just using the numbers of the kids on the opposing teams. Now, as we enter league play, I am going to use the opposing teams names and numbers. There are places online where I can view their roster. My question is: Is it possible for me to import the opposing teams roster to Iscore without me Physically entering the opposing teams roster player by player? I have no idea if anybody else in our league is using iscore.
I know I'm being lazy but it would be pretty easy if I could just import it.

You can import from the admin website.

First export your database from the app (options -> export)
Now log into the admin website (http://iscorecentral.com/my2/login.php? ... 20Required" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
Under teams, either select the team if it already exists, or "add new".
Then, click roster. Edit roster (pencil/paper icon). Add Multiple.
Here you can copy paste the roster in following the format provided.
Save.
Now import back from the app (options -> import)

Its not lazy, its smart. I usually am able to pre-load about 90% of the rosters of teams we play before the season even starts, by going to their websites and getting the rosters there.
