Pitcher not showing up in team cum stats

Post by Illiniram » Wed Apr 11, 2012 6:45 am

I added a new player during the game when he came in to pitch. I believe I somehow messed up and entered into the game as the pitcher at the same time. Not sure how I tried to correct but as continued scoring game, the new pitcher showed on the screen as pitching but the pitch count still continued to show the old pitcher.

After the game, I edited the pitch by pitch to sub in the new pitcher for his two innings. This seemed to work as the stats were split correctly between the two pitchers on the game statistics.

However, when I go to the cumulative team statistics, the new pitcher does not show up in the pitching statistics. This is easy to see since he was just added to the team and these are the only two innings he has pitched. How do I get the pitcher and his two innings to show up in the cumulative statistics? The cumulative statistics appeared to be correct for the old pitcher.

You would need to add this player to the team roster. Right now he is only on the team lineup for that one game.

Team manager -> Select team -> Roster -> add player, select that player from the list.

I added him to the Team Roster after the game but he still does not show up in the cumulative pitching statistics.

Is he being filtered out by a League? Make sure to select Leagues = All, then see if he shows up.

Not being filtered out by a League as "All" is checked.

Did you create the same player twice? If so, can use merge to consolidate.

Same player was not created twice. I went back at the game and went to the play screen. I messed up in my original explanation. The new pitcher who was added to the roster shows up as pitching the whole game on the pitch count in the play screen. When I added the new pitcher during the game using the make lineup changes under misc, I change him to the pitcher at that time. I guess that made it look like he started the game as the pitcher. After the game was over, in the edit pitch by pitch, I changed the pitcher to the starting pitcher on the very first item. Later in the top of the 4th I subbed in the new pitcher in the pitch to pitch screen. That seemed to correct it as the game statistics were correct but my cumulative team statistics are not right as the second pitcher is not showing up. Hopefully this explains it better.

Do not use the starting lineup to make substitutions. This is for starting lineup only. To make a substitution, tap on the player name (either at bat or in the field) and make the substitution.

You can correct this by editing in pitch-by-pitch. Go to starting lineup and enter the correct starter, then go to the inning when the new pitcher came in and enter your substitution.

I have done this but the substitution in the 4th inning does not show up in the cumulative stats, only the game stats.

Be sure the player is also in the Team Roster... if you add a player to a lineup, you must also add to the Team Roster for them to show up on team stats reports.
