iPhone: little diagonal bar in upper right corner?

On my iPhone, I've noticed something new in the upper right corner of the screen, just to the right of the green and red 'ball and strike' counter: a translucent diagonal "bar" that switches between this: / or this: \ when you touch it. What's it for?

I have the same thing. Here's a screenshot, also sent a copy to the support address above.

That is a carryover from the iPad version to show the Scorecard on the main scoring screen as an overlay. We will get it removed from the iPhone version. Thank you for pointing it out.
