Problem correcting a missed call

Scoring my daughters 8U softball game. It was bottom 2, 2 outs, runner on second. Batter hits a line drive to pitcher who catches it for 3rd out, inning ends. I score the top of the 3rd normally. Bottom of the 3rd starts, the same batter comes up who lined out to end the 2nd. Turns out that in the bottom of the 2d, the ump called the runner on second out for leaving the base early before the swing, so that was the third out and the batter's AB didn't count, and she led off the 3rd with a hit. On subsequent plays she came around and scored. But since I had her as making the third out of the previous inning I couldn't score her single or her run, just the batters after her. This resulted in my score being off by one run for the remainder of the game.
I tried to fix this in the pitch by pitch screen as soon as I realized the error, but it doesn't allow me to "insert" a play before her line drive, erase her lineout and end the inning, or otherwise change it so she would start the next inning. How can I fix this so I have not just accurate stats and scorecard, but actual score of the game?
BTW, undoing the whole top of the 3rd inning to get back to that play would not be an acceptable solution because I could never replicate it and catch back up to the live action fast enough.

If you realized during the game what happened, and it was too late to undo back to that point to fix the scoring mistake, you could use Misc -> Skip Batter on the scoring screen to return to the correct batter. Now that the game is over, the only options are updating stats directly to get the stats right. To get the score correct, you can put a "dummy" player in the game and have that player hit a home run to add a run to the right team. The other alternative is to undo to that point in the game, and re-score from there, or create a new game and score it from scratch. You can use the Scorecard and/or the Pitch by Pitch information from the iScorecast to help re-score. It only takes about 15-20 minutes to score a complete game from a scorecard / pitch by pitch.

Thats a tough situation. Could easily see that mistake being made...and no easy way to fix in the moment when you realize what happened an inning later.
As FTM said, Skip batter (10+ times, or whatever) is the only way...

If you do the "Skip Batter" option, you would still need to go back and adjust the stats after the game. The girl would made the 3rd out that did not count would need to have her At-Bats decreased by 1.

So how do I go back and edit the stats now? I've never done that before. Will that allow me to change the final score as well? And is there a way to fix the play by play? I assume not since I can't edit the pitch by pitch.
As a followup, why does the app not let me make this kind of change? I would think the app could automatically recalculate subsequent stats, lineup position, etc, as a result of the change.

Here is a link that describes the various edits you can make post game:
http://iscoresports.com/baseball/kb/faq ... _edits.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Pitch by pitch edits are limited to non outcome changing edits only. You can not just start inserting base hits or changing outs to hits, etc or the "state of the game" would be lost. The previous actions very much limit what can be done on subsequent events. If you already had three outs entered, and we allowed you to insert an out, what happens to the outs that came later? If we allowed you to change an out to a hit and a later batter had already hit a home run, what happens to the new base runner that came out of nowhere? How is the now missing out added in? There are an endless number of scenarios that would have to be handled.

I would just start a new game and re-score it from the beginning using the pitch-by-pitch like FTM said. It'll save you a lot of frustration.
When I switched to this app from that other (not nearly as good) one, I added three tournament games that way. It really doesn't take too long.

re scoreing a game is not that hard.. a good tip is to pull up the score cast on a computer when re scoring..
also in the future if you are alert enough to catch the situation real time , misc skip batter works great.. it is also what you do if some one ever bats out of order.. because they become the official spot if not challenged ..
can be tedious. yes. but generally there is a big conference at the plate to sort it out anyway at the time..

One thing about rescoring a game - when I score it live I enter pitch locations, and whether balls in play were hard/medium/soft, and the hit locations. As far as I can tell, that information isn't captured in the play by play, so printing that out along with the scorecard doesn't really let you recreate the game. Does the iscorecast have all that info? It seems then that watching the scorecast is the only way to fully rescore the game. Do the scorecasts play back in real time? I don't want to spend an hour and a half rescoring a game.

Yes, the iScorecast shows the pitch locations and the hard/medium/soft can be seen on both the Scorecard and the Hit Charts by the thickness of the line.
With the iScorecasts, you can set the speed of playback by opening the Settings on the upper right side of the iScorecast viewer.
