Here is the situation. Runner on 3d. Two outs.
Batter puts ball in play and is tagged out at 2d, after the run crosses home plate.
I can get a correct scorecard result (I think) by hitting "in play", "single"
Then runner "home, advanced by batter"
Then batter "out, tagged out, 9-3"
Is this the correct way to score this? Or is there a more direct way, which starts with marking the batter as out?
Thanks all. I'm new to iScore last night. The first few innings of my little league game were not very pretty. But I think I started to get the hang of it, and I THINK it is going to be great!
Run scores before 3d out?

Re: Run scores before 3d out?
You would not start this play with "Out" because the batter would then not be credited with his single. The way you scored it is the correct way.

An old tip, for new users..
try scoring a game on TV, .. great way to start to learn the basics.
that said, little league can be more 'wild wild west' than MLB, to say the least,.. so stay relaxed and have faith that iScore has been battle tested by little league baseball and softball moms, dads, coaches and scorekeepers for a few years, and handles most if not all the crazy scenarios you will find in little league.
