Can't change player photo

Post by markbrandenburg » Sat Dec 03, 2011 8:07 pm

I had uploaded a player photo for an existing player and wanted to change the photo to a newer one. I went into the player manager and selected the player, selected a different photo and it said it was uploaded successfully yet the old photo is still there. I tried it about 6 times and the old photo will not change. Help!

This is going to sound odd.. But send yourself a player card email.. Highly likely the new photo will be there.. Sometimes (no idea why) it takes time for new photo to show up on device.

This issue has been mentioned before and it is sporadic and as best so far figured out a cache issue, but not fully solved..

Here is a related thread on this open issue
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4522&hilit=New+photo" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Check and see if player card has new photo

Yes. The new photo is in the emailed player card but still not showing up on the iPad. How long, on average, did it take to show up? It's been about 24 hours now. Hope you figure this one out and fix it in the next update!

Thanks,
Mark

The device is caching the read of the old image. If you completely restart iScore, that should clear the cache. If it does not, then it is possible that going to Settings, selecting Safari, and clearing the cache from there will clear the cache.
