Readjusting number of batters after game is over.

I scored a game today where I had quick rostered 12 players with all 12 players batting, because it was a showcase there were no lineups exchanged. Turned out the other team only batted 11. Didn't discover it until they were two batters into their second time around the order. At that time I adjusted both the starting lineup using the Misc button and going back to play by play to show only 11 batters. But on my score card it shows 11 batters but someone batting underneath in a "phantom" 12th spot. then it shows the #1 batter doing what the #2 batter actually did. I need to move that "phantom" twelfth into the #1 batters scorebox and adjust everything back down. I thought I could do that just by changing the starting line up. I have not synced the game, emailed it or export or imported it yet. What can I do now to fix it?

At bats are recorded against a lineup position. Once you have scored an at bat for a 12th lineup position, you can not move that at bat to anther position in the lineup. You can sub a player into the 12th lineup spot, but you can not change the fact that the at bat was scored in the 12th spot.

So my only option is to hit the undo button until I get back to that spot and rescore the game?

You can do that, you can sub players into the lineup positions you scored them in, you can manually override the stats for the players that were scored wrong, or you can rescore the game from the beginning. Many times completely rescoring is the quickest option by looking at the scorecard or an iScorecast listing of the game (or both) while re-entering as a new game. It does not take nearly as long as it souns when you have all the data right in front of you.

Even with quick roster, you should be entering in numbers of the batters as they go up in case they bat out of order. You would have noticed number one batter coming back up.

If you decide to restore the game using the pitch-by-pitch, can the pitch-by-pitch be printed out, thus making it easier to use?

You can print the Play by Play from the Admin site, you can print the Scorecard, and you can view the Pitch by Pitch on an iScorecast. We do not have a way to print the pitch by pitch as seen on the device however.

Yes I should be.... but I don't! With my phone by the time I get the keyboard out, try to highlight the number field and then looking at typing the number in sideway because the screen won't rotate sideways, I've missed two pitches and or one play. Since we have a scorekeeper doing it by paper who doesn't have to worry about forced closes or one entry mistake throwing off her whole scorecard, I let her keep track of the batting order too. In this case I just put some notes in the play by play. I didn't think about going to the admin website and redoing the game with that. That is a worthwhile suggestion. I was trying to record what I had undone.. and then decided to just put the notes in because as I said the opposing teams stats aren't of much interest.
