Some questions..

Post by KevTN » Mon Oct 24, 2011 5:20 pm

My daughters softball team is playing a couple of fall tournaments. We played in tourney this past weekend and another this weekend. I am trying to get a feel for it before next spring. I am basically keeping our teams stats and just doing quick roster for the other. A couple of things I noticed were:

1) When a pitcher change occured all the previous stats went to the 'replacement pitcher.' (I changed the line up by pulling up starting line up and changing position there) Is there a different way of doing this that will place the correct stats with the correct pitcher//player?

2) If there was an attempt to steal and the catcher makes a good throw and the player covering the base misses the throw, ie did not get to the base OR catches the ball out of position to make the play how would score that?

This a great product. I am looking forward to getting more comforable with it and helping our team with their stats.

Thank you
Kevin

You need to do a substitution for a mid game pitcher change, not a change to the starting lineup. Just press on the pitcher in the field and a list of players will come up. Just tap on the replacement. I believe there is a tutorial on substitutions that will help you.

I would score that as a steal. It is a very difficult play to make that out, so typically would not score that as an error. Unless you feel that most players are making that a routine play, then maybe. I personally would score that as a steal. You can use the notes to give more information (i.e. throw short, SS off bag, etc) if you want more detail.

Ok thanks for your help. I was actually playing around with it last night and figured that out.

thanks on your thoughts on the scoring wasn't sure if I was being to 'hard' on them or not.
