Defensive outs and extra base errors

I can't see in the stats where it records the number of times a player has been on the field when an out was made, whether they were involved in the out or not. Does iscore actually record this anywhere?

Re extra base errors, how do you record this so that it doesn't make it a decisive error. For example, a runner is on first and the batter hits it out to right field. The batter makes it safely to first on the hit, however right field throws it into first base wildly behind first base. The umpire then awards an extra base to both runners. When I record the extra base as an error, and the runners end up scoring thereafter, the runs show as unearned. The runs should show as earned if they would have come home eventually even without the extra base error. I can't figure out how to do this. Can anyone help out here?

Thanks!

So if a guy is playing left field there should be a stat on a 4-3? That would be a bit excessive.

on the situation:
You would make it a single.
It asks you what happened to the runner on second, hit third base on error. Charge error to right fielder.
it asks you what happened to runner on first. Hit second charge error to right fielder. (It will only count as one error)

There are a number of points in simlou2 post..

First - defensive stats
If you have players positioned in the field and score the play, iscore collects the appropriate defense stats or put outs, assists and errors plus more..You can see them by game under defensive stats or by team, under team manger, or by player under player manager

Second - report out of positions played by player by inning
You can see player Positions played by inning at the end of the play by play ( located on the free admin and subscription team webs sites By game)

You can email player cards and get a report of innings and games played by position.
( for all games in your league filters)

Note: the positions played does not track playing time by outs (ie fractional innings)
( though that has been suggested and on developers list for consideration

Third - earned runs and errors
The program does a pretty good job calculating earned/un earned runs, but there are some scenarios where you may need to manually over ride the earned/un earned run stats.... and you can..

Need to account for all bases reached. Right fielder making a bad throw allowing runners to advance a base they would not have otherwise been at sure sounds like an error. (not sure I understand the umpire giving them a base, a ball out of play generally a two base award..)

That said, in your situation, without more detail, no way to jude earned/ unearned..official scorer would have to recreate the inning with error less play.

Hope this answers your questions.. Please reply back if you need more ...
