We have mentioned we hope to have a tablet specific update for the spring season. In the mean time, the current Android version works just fine on any Android device.

no landscape view like there is with ipad and will not show lineups on the screen when scoring a live game. But besides that you are right it works.

This subject has been out there since the driod tablets came out. I score works great on my X but when all of users started to ask about the "pad" version the answer was "a update will be coming", then it went to "look for the update in the spring" and now it's we "hope" to have a update this spring. Sigh...I "hope" they prove me wrong but I for one am not holding my breath.

It's a shame, this was one of my favorite apps because I coach high school ball and my son plays all summer and this is one of the only apps that I have that has not had a update from the developers in months.

As I stated in a previous post, as far as I know we all paid the same for this app but we don't seem to be getting the same attention as the Apple product. At this point I am hoping for another product that is not so "I-centric". I would drop I score in heartbeat. The landscape issue is a big deal. You can't see the screen in portrait orientation with polarized sunglasses. We also don't have the option of a high contrast screen. Not sure what other features we are missing out on. Its frustrating!!!

The iOS version of the product has been out for three years and has had time to mature. The Android version has been out for 8 months. There will always be differences as we can not simultaneously develop both every time new features come out. The Android version is MUCH further along at this point than the iOS version was at 8 months or even a year. Instead of comparing the two, it would be more helpful to us to hear what features people want and it will grow organically the way the iOS version has.

There are some features in the Android version that do not exist in the iOS version and the opposite is true as well. Due to the different technologies behind iOS bs Android, some things are easier / harder on each device, and some are more necessary on some devices than others. When iScore first came out on Android, tablets built on Android OS were not widely available and accounted for far less than 5% of all Android sales. That number has come up, but it is nowhere near the level of iPad sales.

We have to spend our time where the most people will benefit, and in the Android market, that is still the phone user base. We have said we will add additional support for tablets and we will, but these things do not happen over night. In the meantime, we still feel iScore is the best scoring platform available on Android, and we will continue improving it each season.

Point of clarification... you did not pay same and get less. iOS users who want both a phone version and a tablet specialized version buy the app twice.

due to technical difficulties and product introduction timing, iScore baseball on iOS is two separate purchases, a phone version and a tablet version ( . both andorid and iphone users can buy a phone version that works on phones and in 2x mode on tablets. but the table specialized version is a separate purchase for iPad (and does not run on iPhone).

So in fact you did not pay same for less. that said, the FTM Developers have said when they are able to come out with android tablet, they expect it will be a universal app, that runs on both phones and tablets, in effect you will get the Tablet version without another purchase. Will get more for same price down the road. (side note: free lifetime updates, don't see MLB offering that ).

I wish iOS was one product for simplicity sake, but have found the value to far exceed the additional price, (small cost of being an early adopter). in fact i do not recall of any users on the forum who originally purchased the iPhone version pre ipad and later purchased the iPad only version, (for additional $) who were not satisfied with the value for the additional dollars. The offer for FTM developers to bundle future android versions into one is not a company trying to gouge users but the opposite, putting users interest ahead of company profits.

I appreciate your input but your comparison in not valid. I do not own a Droid phone. So, Apples to apples (pun intended), I did pay the same as an I pad owner. I'm not accusing anyone of gouging. I score is a solid product. My original post spoke about landscape orientation and possible high contrast screens to help deal with the son. These are two critical things that would make the program so much more useful.

+1 for landscape orientation and possible high contrast screen layouts

Using Asus TF101 Honeycomb 3.2.1 and buttons at bottom go white and stop working when I rotate the tablet for stats which do rotate. Worked around by docking keyboard (based on other posts with slide keyboards) or going to another app, rotate to portrait then return to iScore and the buttons reappear and are active.
