iScorecast on mobile phones

Wanted to make sure that iScore or iScorecast is set up where our fans can receive mobile alerts on their cell phones. Is there a way to set this up and is there an app where people can go on their mobile phone and track the game?

We are thinking of purchasing, and this is the main feature we want.

Thanks.

Yes, the iScorecasts work with mobile devices. We do not have an "app" for tracking the games live, but the iScorecasts will show play by play detail updated in real time on both Desktop and Mobile devices.

There is no fee for fans to watch the games... it is all part of the product purchase.

Thanks. How do you setup mobile phones to receive the alerts?

There are not "alerts". A mobile phone would go to http://iscorecast.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (just as a desktop computer would), and enter the Customer ID from your scoring device, and they can view any of the games you have scored (in real time if you are scoring with an internet connection, or old games as well).

What about twitter? Will iscore send automatic tweets during a game? Anyone signed up to get phone updates for that twitter account would get them on their phones.

Good point team mom. Twittercasting would be able to send game updates, and anyone following you would be alerted any time a tweet was sent.

Did I not see on a previous post on this subject that the automatic twitter tweets were only at the start and end of game and a request was made to change it to the end of each inning?

The automatic ones are only at start and end of the game, but you can tap the tweet button while scoring any time you want to send an update out.

For people with "Smartphones" that works well ... visiting the online site for iScorecast ... but for those who just have "normal" phones (certainly a decreasing number), they would be out of luck. Twittercast is fine, BUT what about someone who wants to get alerts on every scoring play or end of the inning updates?

I think as big as iScore is, ya'll should look into a way to do that. I'm certain the technology is available for iScore to do it. Maybe an app called iScorecast OR upgrading your mobile alert system so that it sends an SMS out (configurable to however the individual wants it). With ESPN attached to the name of iScore, just follow their model for ESPN Alerts ... I have mine set to alert me on start of the game, every scoring play, end of the quarters, and end of the game for my favorite college and pro football teams. You should be able to do something VERY similar for iScore followers.

What do you think?

The Tweets can be sent any time, and should be available to people with "normal" phones (as you noted, this number is dwindling, so spending much time catering to them is probably not ideal). We are looking at various ideas for automating when tweets are sent as well, so this would likely address those that want to be notified of key events. Of course, the scorekeeper could always be sure to just tap the tweet button any time a run is scored, and on inning changes as well.
