I am going to buy an Ipad from Verizon to score my sons' baseball games. My question is this: How much usage does it take to score a game and send it to iscorecast? My sons' teams play about 150 games per year.

I am thinking of going with Verizon's 3GB plan, but want to make sure that is enough. Thanks.

iscore is not very data plan intensive.
I run the lower monthly AT&T 3G plan (250MB for 30 days) and do not exceed it.

the bigger concern is battery life, .. and overheating concerns,

In ATT case you can always go up a plan month to month, so i started small and have not had an issue.

Don't get the 3G iPad. Get the wifi one and then turn on hotspot on your iPhone and link them. That's a $20 plan vs $30 for the 3G iPad per month.

You are assuming he has a Verizon phone with tethering.
