new team versus old team with new players

What are the pros and cons of continuing an existing team's website versus setting up a new team and new website for the 2011-2012 season? Our 10U team will be moving up to 12U this Fall. It is likely at least half the team will stay together. Others will not, either because they have to stay in 10U or they do not make the team. What is the best way to reflect this on iscore? I like the idea of being able to see prior season stats for returning players, but I don't want to see old players listed that are not on the team anymore. Can this be managed with leagues or is it better to start fresh with a new team and website?

I think there is an old thread on this, but no time to search at the moment, But probably worth re polling community...
For me, I have done both, re used teams, and started new teams, in the end.. I found i generally like starting with a new team each year. particularly in school ball, where every year turnover happens, seniors leave and freshman come in, and a core stays for a few years... Since the team site subscription is annual, the cost is neutral if you don't renew last year 2010 team and pay fresh for this year 2011 team.
For travel ball summer to fall, fall to winter....teams that changes more frequently than annually, it does cost more to get extra subscriptions, .. I tried re using teams, with leagues to separate, teams, and it works ... But not as smooth.. the biggest annoyance is the roster has to include all players past and present for it to work. And that can be confusing and required detailed tagging and use of leagues for players, and you have to diligently manage your league structure. looking up historical team stats on the device becomes more complicated as leagues become more critical..
The major tradeoff becomes 20$ vs simplicity...

Our travel team stays together for a year (Fall and Spring tournament seasons), so I am not worried about the cost. I just wondered what works best for those that have had the rollover issue before. Thanks.

I agree with OhioTex for a new site with a new season even with recurring players.
Another thought for those parents that have a player consistently remaining on the team is for a player webpage. For the $20 subscription they can keep track of multiple seasons for their player. And even better for them no work what so ever since you are populating their page.

Player websites are only $10... so even a better deal.
